The stacker machine at the local mall has been taunting me to no end. It always has high end electronics toys at the top (PSP, 360 games, controllers) and for only $1 per play, it could be an amazing cash cow. Unfortunately, I'm smart enough to know I wouldn't be the first person to think they could make money off the machine, and if that were readily possible, this machine wouldn't be so widespread. Does anyone know anything about this type of machine and if its rigged (ultimately uses statistics/pre-decision to decide if it lets you win on the last block) or if it truely can be mastered with skill and practice? I would like to create a "stacker simulator" game as a programming exercise for myself, but I'd be a lot less motivated to do so if its all a sham.
Any help will be apprecited.
