I am modelling soil water content in a 150 meters forested slope for one year in Hydrus 2D. Selected process are water flow and root water uptake (Feddes) in single porosity (vG-M). The domain is decribed with 21 materials. Lateral domain limits are variable pressure head corresponding to measurement in situ. Soil hydraulic parameters are determined different way and for each methods we have a simulation.
My problem is that some of those simulation do not converge. I try several solutions : reduce domain size (to 50m), modify maximum and minimum time steps, modify mesh, increase tolerance, modify time step multiplication factor. The problem is still not fixed. The last simulated day is not always the same and do not correspond to a particular meteorological event.
Does anyone have a suggestion to go through this? Or is there nothing more to do for those recalcitrant simulations?
